Rensley Victoria – The International Walking Billboard for Curaꞔao
If you have found us, you must be that special person with an eye for culture, nature, history, diaspora, cohesion, anthropology, sociology, beauty, and a heart for the well-being of Curaçao.
We can’t all be workers, most of us can only be supporters.
Know that without both, nothing moves.

Rensley Victoria, a name that resonates across the globe as ‘The International Walking Billboard for Curaçao’, found his heartstrings tugged towards his homeland after two decades of life in Holland. The call of Curaçao was so compelling that he chose to return and embrace the island life once more. Despite his long absence, the culture of Curaçao runs deep in his veins, an integral part of his identity. Victoria’s bond with Curaçao is one of profound intimacy, a connection that transcends the ordinary.
His love for the island and its people is boundless, a sentiment that inspired him to devise a rigorous walking regimen. This program was not merely a test of endurance but a journey towards participating in Holland’s annual ‘Walk of the World’ for the fifth time.
Every July, the city of Nijmegen in The Netherlands becomes a global stage, hosting ‘The Walk of the World’, a grand event that draws 40,000 walkers from all corners of the globe. This event, with a rich history spanning over ninety years, was initiated and continues to thrive as a testament to the promotion of physical fitness and sports.
Rensley found himself drawn to this event, recognizing its potential to inspire the youth of Curaçao to unite under the banner of sportsmanship. He believes that participation in sports is a powerful tool for nation-building. It fosters healthier citizens, cultivates cooperation and compassion through teamwork, and rallies the community in support of its athletes.
Victoria’s ambitions are lofty, but his determination is unwavering. To prepare for this event, he embarked on a journey, walking ‘every inch of Curaçao’. His exploration took him to every corner of the island, through its countryside and neighborhoods. He witnessed the beauty of Curaçao and acknowledged its challenges. His deep understanding of the Curaçaoan culture and the island’s diverse landscape convinced him of his ability to effect positive change through sports.
